The Ugly Animal Photos reminds me of a point when I looked at the top news item on nyt.com and it was disappointingly an article about food photography- how to photograph food well. Certainly there’s a time and place for photographs of food, but alongside images of war and disaster it seemed inappropriate.
Also, why would a pug be considered an ugly animal? Sacrilege.
